Hei, I have used Underwater Kinetics flashlights as back-up lights for my primary light source. Recently both lights were flooded within a week. The lights I have were UW-Kinetics Q40 and Q60, the four C-shell and the six C-shell lights with mechanical switch. I think that the same type of lights are marketed with other names too such as Sun-Light SL4 and SL6 ? Both lights were quite new and I have not used them much. I have lubricated the O-rings and they seemed to be allright. The floodings did happen in shallow water, 20 meters (60 ft) or so. So I have couple of questions : A. The UW-Kinetics lights I had, seem to be quite commonly used as back-up lights. Has anybody else had this kind of poor experiences or did I have just "monday" examples ? Back-up lights should be fool proof I think. B. What is the official max. depth rating of these lights ? How deep have you succesfully used them in fact ?
