Dave, "tec" diving effectively means doing it right, as in doing what it takes to effect the dive in the most optimal manner. For instance, use of a trimix instead of air for a dive would be "tec" , and conversely, air diving is not tec diving. Beginning diving is what it is - a starting place. Even that can be "tec". Tec means learning more and optimizing. For most people the fist "tec" question they ever asked in a PADI course was "what do you do if you are two squares past a black box?" Deco - "tec" begins. -----Original Message----- From: David Applin <David.Applin@ta*.co*> To: Trey <trey@ne*.co*>; TechDiver List <techdiver@aquanaut.com> Date: Thursday, July 13, 2000 9:05 AM Subject: Define Tech Diving >I've been lurking for some time now, and occasionally get great info from >this list and Quest and the GUE web site. there are obviousley some very >experienced divers who are willing to share info.
