Can anyone tell me what type of diving I can expect.
Any cave, wreck technical diving happening.

 Any DIR divers there. >>

Gremlin, et al:

You will not find any cave diving in the Chicago area, but you will find some
of the best wreck diving anywhere. The cool, fresh water of the Great Lakes
preserves our wrecks like nowhere in the sea. The water can get a bit rough
sometimes, and the weather is a bit unpredictable (on of the reasons we have
so many wrecks), but visability now is in the range of 20 to 50 feet.

Yes there are DIR divers here, but not many. Many of us are diving
Hogarthian rigs that are close to DIR.

If you want to dive Lake Michigan while you are here, give me a call. I
operate the dive boat, "Enterprise," out of the port of Waukegan. Enterprise
is a steel-hulled 30Ton, 42 ft Lakeboat, originally built as a commercial
fishing trawler. She has been completely refitted for diving. We take only
6 divers at a time, giving everyone a lot of room -- elbow room as well as
space for doubles, stages, etc. You can check our dive schedule out on my
website: www.captaindales.com You can also call me at (847)520-4689.

Safe diving,
Dale
