<SNIP> GI and his crowd routinely make similar statements. They're getting old. I can take the heat and so can most of the people who despise him. This isn't an issue of whether or not I can take ad hominem abuse. It's about business. JJ was uninvited to OzTek at least in part due to GI's attitude and JJ's refusal to reprove him. Associating with someone who routinely spews invective and who, for example, publicly demeans those who've died in diving accidents without regard for the families and friends of the dead will always be bad business, and this situation with OzTek, however unfair to JJ, is proof of that. <SNIP> Death is not polite. In fact it will ruin an otherwise perfect day diving. Calling bullshit on the fact that the person who met his demise was "trained to get killed" by the inferior equipment he was sold and the inferior skills he was taught is the only way to institute any changes. Shaking your head and just saying "that's too bad, it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy" will mean that IT WILL STILL KEEP HAPPENING TO OTHER NICE GUYS. The dive business as usual is what killed them and business as usual will continue to until the industry wakes up and smells the shit. Polite or not, that is the reality. Don BTW I have the balls to sign my own name. Too bad yours were removed by the industry a long time ago. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
