JJ, While I believe that canceling as they did was a shitty thing to do, you should realize that this kind of thing, however nasty, will continue to happen to you. Why? Because you closely associate yourself with George Irvine, a man widely despised in diving circles; not for his message but for his insensitive and nasty delivery. You, by not denouncing his abusiveness, de facto condone and encourage it and are therefore a party to it. If you don't like being treated badly, perhaps you should see to it that you don't treat others badly yourself. >With all due respect it is extremely unprofessional and, in my opinion, >dishonest to contact someone months ahead and over the course of several >communications requesting they join the show only to cancel two weeks >before the show. All the excuses as to why this fell apart are actually >more insulting than the games that came before. Nothing "fell apart" as you >suggest. Like most people I hate to waste time but I am more resentful of >being treated like an idiot. Where you seeing this from my POV you would >likely agree. The games and dishonesty are the most troubling. Organizers >get to decide who they invite and I have no problem with that. Deception >and games are where the irritation lies. > >Best wishes, >JJ -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
