Regarding what paint to use on your tank, I was told by a reliable source about 5 years ago that the major tank manufacturers used a polyurethane type paint. I was also told (and confirmed) that places like **gasp!** Canadian Tire sell this stuff as a spray paint. It is supposed to be good for flexing with the tanks when they are filled and drained. You can shake but don't bake. By the way it is an aluminum alloy that tanks are made, not strictly aluminum. Pure aluminum would be much to inflexible and brittle. hope this helps.. ...Brian...
