BJ, you need to understand the difference between the dive they are doing
and the dives you and others are doing. The cutting edge is -just that,
cutting. On that end of the spectrum slight injuries are a probability, to
which they are pushing the limits of safety. This has proven the techniques
are usefull right up to the limits being tested.

Yes, I know, "it blows DIR Myth 1 out of the water (DIR has
 had NO fatalaties or accidents).", the point is that you are grouping the
testers with those that do not operate in the same realm. By following in
thier wake, others have done dives that they would never imagined they could
have done. The newer divers that use this system are watching the lead dogs
find the safer path. If you have a better system, please post your
trials-AND Errors.-EZ
