AM> last time i checked, lead did not evaporate in air, even when molten. It may or may not meet the definition of evaporation, but lead _does_ produce fumes when heated to the melting point. Granted, a 50% weight loss is far in excess of anything one would see (short of going to the boiling point and staying there for a while). Allowing for a 5% loss would cover slag losses and everything else. PO > Is there a simple formula that will let me know how much weight to melt? (ie) Melt 10 lbs of lead to get a 5 lbs P weight, etc. _____NetZero Free Internet Access and Email______ http://www.netzero.net/download/index.html -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
