Last week Black absolutely got mutilated on tech diver so today I guess he
decided to take his message to the "experts"...rec.scuba.

I am not on techdiver...could somebody forward this over so JT can see what
his "good buddy" the Dr. has been up to.

Thanks,
Trout

Subject: DCS Type 1and DIR Myth 1

The truth prevails again (just takes a while to rise to the surface).
The Doing-It-Rightists, including Mr. DIR himself (George Irvine), are
'fessing up to having had skin bends (DCS type 1) on numerous occasions.
They call it "slobitus."

Just one more dose of reality for DIR Myth 1: DIR has had NO fatalities
or accidents.

I don't know whether to thank these guys for 'fessing up, or condemn
them for dangerous diving practices. It comes as no surprise that
diving too deep for too long will yield dividends like DCS type 1.
Thanks Doing-It-Rightists, for showing us what to avoid. We can all
learn from your mistakes.

Click on techdiver's mailing list archives, http://www.aquanaut.com,
and search for subject, "Attack of the slobitus" for the recent
illuminating discussions by the deep sea idiots.
