I'm posting this to the list, since I received a few interested emails.

It's too bad, but Robert used to have a more detailed description of how I
made the weight.  There were very good pictures on his page that he took
down.  I'll do my best to describe.

The bolt will pass through the hole you drilled so that it points away from
your back.

Now, the idea is to fix a washer onto the bolt at such a position that it
would would be engulfed in the centre of the lead.

This is done by throwing a washer onto the bolt and securing it with one or
two nuts.  The nuts ensure that washer is set at the correct height to be in
the centre of the lead.

Plumbers putty is used to form the mold for the lead.

Pour slow.

After pouring and cooling, you should have a smooth lead p-weight in your
backplace that is removable simply by unscrewing the nut at the back of the
plate.

It's great since it gives extra weight to an aluminum plate, yet can be
removed easily for air travel etc.
