Jim I have found the Velco strip mentioned by Wendell Grogan, or the cheap and cheerful, electrical tape to be effective as a precaution against a kink in the hose, or whatever. It helps to prevent the ballooning of the condom which can cause the glue to come unstuck. If you use electrical tape do not have it tight! It is there to stop ballooning only. Leaks can come from a number of sources: 1) There may be some leakage from the condom because it has come partly off during use; 2) The condom may not have been properly attached to the hose thus resulting in some leakage; 3) The p-valve may not have been sealed properly to your drysuit and the leak is actually sea water; 4) The valves may have been damaged over some usage - your foot may have badly snagged part of the assembly when putting your suit on. Having looked at or used various other designs including the "well known" UK one, I can say that the EE one is the best yet - in fact I have it in both of my suits. Over the years, I've used most condons available and have found the UK ones to be the worst. We now import ours direct from the US. The major problem with the UK condoms is that there isn't enough adhesive and they tend to roll off during use. I eventually dumped the remaining condoms as I just got too fed up with them - that was also a source of leakage for me. Best, John. > Sorry to hear about the wet leg.
