I'm not sure you can amoratise the cost like this as you can only die once.
But the odds do get worse so if you are talking a CF/$ ratio you are
correct, this unit would be 800/5-10 or $80-$150 per, depending on the
convolution of your configuration.

And a set of OMS wings gives you, uh I guess 400/5 or $80 per. Let's see a
quick-release buckle is about $1.59, there are about 4 failure points in one
of those, truly a bargen at 40 cents/per CF. Now I see why they are so
popular!

Christ how would you do a computer, there are hundreds of failure points in
one of those... But lets be kind and say 50, so a Trimix computer at
$1500/50 would give you $300/CF, certainly the most expensive method of
decreasing your survival odds...

So in total your typical stroke is paying, oh, maybe a $700-$900/PPCF
(Premium Per Cluster Fuck).

Let's face it, being a stroke is simply not cost effective. So the next time
you are down there in a life or death struggle with your crappy scuba gear,
let this be the last thing that runs through your head.
