Hmmm, not to defend Dave when I know he is well able to defend himself :-),
but after fully reading your posting twice, I'm puzzled to understand which
part of Dave's article was "not true".

The part where it says, "I suggest only buying the Pro if you have a very
clear reason not to buy the Sport", which seems to describe your situation
as you articulated?

The part about the Pro being considerably thicker and therefore less
flexible?

Which part was not true?
