Mike,

Not a proponent of this but I think I have an explanation. People who use
integrated computers (if they are hell bent on using one) should have 2 HP
ports. Would never use an integrated computer myself and have my gas
supply reported by something that relies on batteries. I think gas supply
is just too important! Seen too many computers screw up calculations to be
100% sure that it's reporting gas supply correctly, it's just me. If the
battery goes dead then you have no idea how much gas you have. I've had
digital gauges go dead even though the battery meter read full the night
before the dive. Cold has funny effects on batteries.

Have a few friends that use integrated computers. I usually tell them that
if they are going to use one they should also have a backup mechanical
gauge. If you dive doubles then you can use the other HP port on the second
post. If you dive singles then you're only options are to either start
diving doubles or have 2 HP ports. That is provided you're not willing to
throw away/sell that crappy integrated computer!

No comment on the 400BAR manifolds.

Art.

anyone has any idea why we need 2 pressure ports for
the 1st stage ? i though 1 will do for the pressure
	gagues ?

also why are there 300bar/4000psi and 400bar/5000psi
gagues ? gas law beomes non-liner from somewhere 240
bar onwards...doesn't make sense to pump tank to any
higher rite ? can we just stick to a 300bar pressure
	gague/spg ?
