Art, I know this isn't what you were looking for specifically, but I built an inspection light from a Halogen 50 watt bulb, a length of two strand wire, a hollow aluminum tube from a target arrow and an old Lionel Transformer from an electric train. Cost was about six dollars. It's so bright I have to turn the electricity down so it doesn't blind me!
