Scott: Since I was off diving yesterday I missed alot of this BUT I'm in somewhat the same boat as you, ie. I dive solo rather violate Rule #1. To keep from getting hung up on semantics I tell any who ask that my rig is Hogarthian and that I aspire to dive DIR. Yesterday I arrived at the site just in time to watch one of our local instrokters. I'm happy report they are starting to run out of nasty things to say. The worst they could come up with was "Is that one of those $100. drysuits?". Of course after this she promptly told her students it was Ok to go snorkelling after Scuba. I left as the hot dog (and probable beer) bust was starting. Jason- Do what I did. Hit every site, good and bad, and Learn The Difference. Look at the Xmas Tree Configs of some and compare those to what you see on GUE, WKPP, Techdiver.com, etc. Most of all, try toughening up a bit. Trey, Cobb, Scott and now myself to some small degree, get a bit weary of answering the same questions over and over. As I said before, when you get time, drop me a line and we'll go diving, your choice of locations. Now if we can just do something about the jetskiers......
