Who the hell is this guy Black? I've been ignoring the thread mostly then
read the last post from Trey. So I did a search using his name in my deleted
mail box and found a lot of posturing and childishly taunting BS but no
info. Is he the one that posted the DIR myths BS a while back? I noticed
that he was slamming DIR in one message--or at least slamming DIR divers.

One can criticize the way in which some DIR proponents act online without
too much effort, but that doesn't make the message wrong. Hating DIR and
criticizing DIR (or Hogarthian) is like hating seatbelts in a car. You don't
have to use them to drive, but under certain circumstances the seatbelted
driver will have a couple of cuts and bruises and the non-seatbelted driver
will have a steering wheel through his head. So much for personal
preference.

The DIR diving practices work. No, one doesn't' have to use them, but there
are too many divers doing too many dives and under all circumstances and in
all environments for some moron like Black to imply that it either doesn't
work or shouldn't be adopted because those who dive DIR are assholes.

Based on what I've read, this guy's a small fish, throw him back and ignore
him.
