I thought this one might interest you. Not only is Tom Mount going to
exhibit his Hill Billy configuration (whatever that is) but for a =
highlight,
the opening presentation is:

and electronic sensing technology =96 as seen on National Geographic."

I'm sure that this will interest you. Maybe the WKPP should have a =

Sport and Technical Diving Exhibition
June 16th-18th , 2000 Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, BC, Canada
At the Beban Park Complex


Tech2000 =91Sea the Future=92 Exhibition is a three day long festival =
providing
a variety of events that will interest, excite, educate and entertain
non-divers, sport divers and technical divers of all ages. The theme =
centers
on underwater exploration and education. As diving technology changes =
we are
provided with a means to explore the marine environment and all that it
offers in a more dynamic way than ever imagined. This is a great chance =
to
learn more about some of the latest trends in diving such as nitrox,
rebreathers, artificial reefs and other wrecks, cave diving and even =
deep
mixed gas diving.

Diver Magazine Multi-Media Imaging Room
Open Saturday and Sunday, June 17&18th from 9am-5pm.
2-3 rooms that will be displaying framed and double matted photographs =
from
some of best UW photographers in Western Canada and the US Pacific NW. =
These
prints will be part of a silent auction.
There will also be a Virtual Reality Diving Display.
There will be a mini theatre running a series of short videos from =
various
underwater locations and expeditions (Transpac, Doria, Gulfsteam, =
Sixgills,
Grand Caymans, etc).  This room is free admission to all divers.


Exhibit Hall
Open Saturday and Sunday, June 17&18th from 10am-4pm inside the Beban =
Park
Complex.
Many booths displaying exciting equipment, products, services and =
training
in underwater exploration. Will include manufacturers, dive shops, =
charter
boats, training agencies, dive clubs and many other organizations.
Those with Exhibit Passes and Show Passes will be allowed to enter this
room.


Rebreather Room
Open Saturday and Sunday, June 17&18th from 10am-4pm inside the Exhibit =
Hall
Displays of Rebreathers from past to present. Some models will include:
DragerRay, Dolphin, Drager 80m Heliox, Lar V, Halcyon, Buddy =
Inspiration,
Cis Lunar, MK15.5, Aura CCR2000, Prism, Cochrane, K2.
There will also be some interesting modified versions. There will be =
two
information seminars in this room on Saturday and Sunday, one for Basic
introductions, one on Advanced Principals.
Those with Exhibit Passes and Show Passes will be allowed to enter this
room.


Equipment Configuration Room
Open Saturday and Sunday, June 17&18th from 10am-4pm inside the Exhibit
Hall.
A display of various equipment configurations from some of the =
industries
diving specialists. An informal setting hosted by a different pioneer =
every
two hours. Meet and talk shop with some of the most interesting =
explorers in
North America.
Exhibitors include but not limited to:
Tom Mount =96 Hill Billy Configuration
David Sawatzky =96 Side mount system
Ron Akeson =96 Tank inversion
Bill Nadeau =96 Standard Deep Wall Rig
Also on display will be scientific, commercial, rescue & other =
specialties.
Those with Exhibit Passes and Show Passes will be allowed to enter this
room.


Sea the Future Seminar Series
Stunning visual presentations.
Format is as follows: 5 forty minute seminars running from 10am =96 4pm =
each
day during the weekend. Starting on the hour continuously with a 1 hour
break at noon.
Some of the speakers include Tom Mount, Jill Heinerth, David Sawatzky.
Those with Seminar Series Passes and Show Passes will be allowed to =
enter
this room.


Sea The Future Theatre Presentation
Friday June 16th at 8pm.
Opening with Jill and Paul Heinerth with an exciting visual =
presentation
about their record breaking cave survey using the most advanced systems =
in
Rebreather and electronic sensing technology =96 as seen on National
Geographic.
Main Act with Dr. Phil Nuytten =96 how he sees the future of underwater
exploration =96 a light comical and visionary presentation

Saturday June17th at 6:30 pm
Full course dinner followed by a presentation from Diving Pioneer, =

and world renown photographer/explorer Tom Mount. Awards Ceremony to =

Award
for Marine Sciences and Technology, Outstanding Contribution to the =
Nanaimo
