I need a bit of help on the weight system since i have upgrade from 5mm wet suit + 5mm vest to a DUI TLS350. Up to know i was using a home made Vweight ( 5kg ). My rig consist of twin steel manifold 15Ltr 232 bar ( 16 kilos each ) , 7Ltr steel Oxygen stage Tank and Metal Hard Plate. ( Can you believe that i still need weight !! and im supposed to be fit ). Diving Dry i found out that i needed 3 kg more. ( 5kg to be precise but i used ( 1kg on each ankle weight )). So what should i do ? 1) Melt another couple of Car batteries and make a new 8 Kg V weight ( if anyone interesting how to create his own v weights is so easy drop me a line ) 2) Add Drop weights on my harness so i can drop at least half of my lead at emergency ? ( im not quite sure if i will ever need to do this ) 3) Try to spread the weight by adding another Kg on each ankle weight and another Kg on the Vweight And something else, at 16c iam a bit cold with a thinsulate tshirt and 100g Thinsulate undergarments so should i add another kg on my lead so i can pump a bit more air in my suit or just wear more ? -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
