I bought one direct form their representative in Texas. As I recall it was
about $60.

That was me, I think. I posted a detailed evaluation, and one of the
comments I made had to do with that. The darned thing almost seemed like
it was trying to stay hidden!

Its biggest failing IMO, something you guys who dive in clear water would
not understand, is it is a WIMP. It just doesn't have the light output
that the Tektite does. Nowhere near it.

One other problem is the lack of a proper place to connect a bolt snap so
it can be put on the harness D-ring.

I do not recall seeing any other critiques posted.

I agree, they're well built. The magnetic switch is a nice touch, there is
no case penetration anywhere on it other than the well done battery cap. I
keep mine in my gear box for use as a backup. I've used it from time to
time ....

I have managed to keep a couple of Tektite 200s working through an entire
season. The trick is to have just the right amount of lubrication on the
two O-rings, and to turn it on and off out of the water whenever possible.
If you must turn it ON in the water, be careful to turn the head JUST
until it turns on. Overtightening WILL flood the thing. And rinse it in
fresh water right away, those wimpy O-rings are very easily damaged by
salt buildup.
