I do not believe in switching the LP hose, to have it only hand tight will cause you to blow more o rings and have leaks. I will let my hose nut be loose at the second stage to change the second stage if need to. It is safer to just switch out the regs if the hose blows, stress will become a big deal if try to screw that hose back into the reg. I think. I've seen guys have a hard time doing it on land without gloves. You can't learn to dive on the net, sooner or later you have to get in the water!
