The Maritime Archaeology Field School will be conducted again on O'ahu in June 26-August 4, 1995. It consists of both classroom instruction and on-site activities that include in-water archaeological surveying. Participants are introduced to maritime history and scientific methods employed in underwater archaeological research. To participate in the course, students must possess a nationally recognized scuba certification and make arrangements with the University of Hawaii's Diving Safety Officier to qualify for UH Scientific Diver status. Applications should be submitted directly to the Maritime Option Program. Application deadline is April 1, 1995.
