I just made a backplate for a single tank.  It is currently just a plate with
the appropriate holes, etc...  It is not bent yet.  

The question.  Do bends only give functionality to carrying tanks?  Or are
there more issues, i.e. ergonomics?  Why should I go out o' my way to get this
thing bent?  It is only 8" wide.
