Hi Larry,

I think that part of the reason that the DIR message on Techdiver is
presented in the way that it is because of people trolling the list, just
like you guys are now admitting to have done.

I would remind you that the discussion (mostly held privately) started
because one of your guys wanted to hear about DIR in a less threatening
environment than this list provides. I obliged, very patiently, over a
protracted series of emails for no other reason than I think DIR would make
your diving safer and more fun.

If you guys have no real interest in learning about DIR, I suggest we stop
wasting everybody's time and you go back to your helmet mounted lights,
independents, short hoses, 50m EAD's, suicide clips and lord only knows what
other strokery.

Just for the record, if anybody is still reading this, I dont hold myself up
as any sort of DIR expert. When I got into cave diving, I looked to see who
was the best in the world and listened to their advice, thought about it and
decided to follow it. As a result, my diving is infinitely more pleasurable
and safer than it was.

Cheers,

Simon Murray
