Jim CornCobb and all of his small minded bunch of village idiots sure =
couldn't
resist the bait. You guys win the prize. It usually takes me a week or two =
to
smoke out most of the DIR. headed crackers. I think i must be doing it =
rite
after all.

What's my point
My point is, I support the concept of DIR. it did help me consider my rig =
and
gearing on a new level. The concept of giving new and old Techie wanabees =
a
quality high water mark is a good thing, but i think George Irvine stopped =
doing
it rite and is way off track when he opened his mouth with this Stroke =
word.
Rather than inspire me to constantly reevaluate my skills, rig, the dive, =
and to
apply the "Safe Diving Attitude" It is really inspiring the wrong kind of
people by unleashing these trailer park trash mouthed boys who act more =
like a
pack of zellioted Hitler youth squads that let George do all the rite =
thinking
for them. I believe for all the good of DIR. it is fast being undone by
galvanizing the tech community with some MaCarthy style witch hunting.

The Following is a excerpt from George Irvine's DIR. WKPP gear configurati=
on
description:
"To quote Bill Gavin regarding gear, a diver must "settle for nothing less =
than
perfection. Those who do will discover on their own the value
of such effort. Those who do not will never understand what the others are
talking about". What we have presented here is called the "Doing It
Right" system, and is a platform that is integrated completely and =
accommodates
all contingencies and additions, but no phobias. Use it
accordingly with one caveat - "never break Rule Number One", which is =
"Don't
dive with strokes". A "stroke" is somebody with an unsafe
attitude."

#1 This seems to be very gear focused, never judge a diver by his gear =
alone.
How dare you judge me for using an OMS BC vs One of the Freebie BC given =
to you
by a sponsor etc.

# 2 The only way to judge diving attitude is to dive with someone, and i =
believe
a complete safe attitude must also includes a lot of leadership skills. =
There is
no perfect answer here but according to this we are all Strokes, everyone =
but
George. This is why he dives alone.

I believe you guys are better than this. If you are half the divers you =
would
like us to believe than be leaders not follows. Tech diving is about =
experience
and pushing personal limits. I understand the need to deprogram the PADI =
boys
but take them on a dive, produce more DIR. videos, speak at more trade =
shows and
your leadership will show through.

So I now speak for all the strokes out there who say "STROKE YOU"..... And =
how
about discussing something more important like how about those Baltic =
Wrecks.

Max out
