Most rubber suits I see divers wearing that are more than a year old are covered in patches. It is true that rubber suits are easier to patch than other suits. It is also true that as an owner of a rubber suit you will become an expert at patching them. The rubber suits also do not seem to last as long as suits made of other materials -- with the exception of standard neoprene, which seems to self-destruct quite early.
