I use the TLS here in the PNW.  The water is 41-48f, no thermoclines, 
pretty much year around.  We don't get the warm surface water for deco that 
a lot of east coast divers and lake divers get in the summer.

I use the 400g thinsulate and add thin capilene long johns on long 
dives.  I can stand about 120minutes max. Longer with drygloves, and lots 
longer with a rebreather.
