List, I have been using Al 40 deco bottles for deep wreck ocean diving. Typically I use a bottle of 50/50 and a bottle of oxygen. I am of course using twin Al 80 of bottom mix. I have had no problem with the volume of gas that I use in comparison to what I carry. I am beginning to go to the deeper depths around 200+fsw. It is obvious that the deeper I go, the longer I am going to have to deco and therefore going to need more volume to perform the longer deco. My question is probably very basic and I'm sure the answer is just logistics. However, being new to DIR, I am asking before I go and do this. Should I switch to Al 80 deco bottles for the increase of needed volume for deco, or should I add an extra bottle of of say a 120' mix to help reduce the shallower stop increase in volume or a combo of the two. I am breathing trimix at these deeper depths, however, the deeper depths of course will require longer stops. It is questions like these I am having trouble finding answers to. Thanks for the info in advance.
