Did you read the small bit about Ron?

Ron has been and done. He was the first human out in the open ocean below
1,000fsw.
Ron has a lot of customers from all over the earth. Ron has and does dive
Poseidon regs, and he *doesn't* go into caves without a line to the surface.
In the 70's he and a couple other NEDU divers were called to a cave in Fla.
where two divers didn't return. He and another diver went a small distance
into the cave, came out and announced that no Navy diver was going into that
cave, and sorry for your loss. There are very valid reasons why Poseidon
regs are not DIR, but, in case you haven't noticed, people practicing DIR
are definitely a minority. Kirby Morgan hats, AGA's, are also not DIR, but
we sell and service them as well. Surface supplied diving is also not DIR,
and Ron runs SS classes
year around.

The IANTD training is available from Jeff Waugh and Garrett Weinberg. Both
of these men are fine human beings, and independent instructors. I would
dive anywhere, anytime with either man. Mike is currently undergoing
training from IANTD to be an OW and Nitrox instructor. GUE doesn't have an
OW program. We also work with PADI, SSI, NASDS etc. instructors from all
over the PNW. Our shop is a "location" shop. There are three outstanding
dive sites within spitting distance of our back porch. People coming to our
shop can try anything we have and sell simply by hopping off the back porch
into the water. We work with shops from all denominations and locations. If
anything, we are a Naval facility.

Our main line is Halcyon. That was also Pappy's decision. I bought the first
one, we both dove it and that was it. Its the main line of what we sell.

As soon as GUE has an OW instructor program, I will be enrolling, and we
will offer this training. What I dive, what I write, what I say are things
up to me.
Ron is big enough a man to let me do as I do. I work another job, also not
DIR
www.dalphon.com so that I can afford to hang out at the dive shop.

Scott
