If you are able to, get a West Marine catalog, http://www.westmarine.com,
which sells them and has useful info.  Have considered buying one for my
boat, but there are different classes, A, B, and 406, and I believe B is
being phased out.  Keep in mind they are expensive, and if you deploy one
accidentally the fines are stiff (and there's a v. good chance you will
be caught since that is how EPIRBs work).
