Subject: CO2 for dry suit inflation
Date: Wed, 16 Feb 2000 15:53:46 -0000
Hello list,

I've seen interesting discussion about using CO2 for dry suit inflation on
our local tech-diving conference. I'd like to ask you if you have any
experience or knowledge why this gas is not used widelly as Argon is.
It's isolation characteristic is better than Argon and price is extremly
low.

I know that there is one issue - CO2 in pressure higher than 50Bar changes
in to liquid and during expansion consumes lot of heat - it is necessary to
find a solution to prevent regulator freezing.(which as far as I know exist
- ask any paintball player :-)

Regards
