Hi Manos,
Deco with a scooter is pretty much like deco without one. My scooter is
weighted to be neutral in water. I have 1 weight permanently attached which
makes it neutral in fresh water and another that I add when diving salt
water to get it neutral. The weighting is placed to make it a little bottom
heavy thus leaving the nose pointed up a little, but overall it's neutral.
When I'm finished with the scooter (usually as I'm starting my ascent), I
adjust the pitch of the blades to a minimum so in the event of it
activating, the pull is not enough to pull me. I also pin the trigger so
that I can't accidently activate it (if for example, the tow cord, catches
the trigger).

I leave the scooter attached to me via the tow cord and let it hang below me
as I ascend / deco regardless of whether I'm on a line or drifting.

If you have support divers available you can pass it to them at your
earliest convenience.

Best,
John.
