Scott, I my experience of teaching scuba (17years) I have seen know =
it all students that wouldn't shut up. And guess what, thay were so =
busy telling me how to dive they could'nt here me teach them how to do =
it right. My question to them is why did you come to me in the first =
place.
Furthermore I have never seen anyone contribute worthwhile =
information on this list and be verbally abused. Its the ones who think =
they know something and share with other false information who are =
abused. This is how the guys who do know something about technical =
diving cut the bullshit off at the path before someone listens to this =
advise and gets hurt.
By the way, as far as the 59 members of my list being capable and =
knowledgable, well I hate to tell you that these guys had choices. To =
do it right or take chances. If you have'nt figured it out their all =
DEAD DIVERS. And this only touches the surface of names. Please don't =
end up on this list.

     John Walker

Students that "shut up", don't experiment, and don't ask questions =
aren't very good students. Regardless of how knowledgeable and capable =
the members of your list of 59 are, if you don't treat people with =
respect then they won't respect you. Few will listen anymore. They =
"unsubscribe". The collective knowledge of that 59 is lost to many. Many =
others who have something worthwhile to contribute don't bother because =
they don't want to take the verbal abuse so common to some of that same =
59. I for one think that's a shame. All it requires is a change in =
delivery.=20
The language doesn't have to be foul to be offensive.=20
