Subject: Un. . . er, INflexible thinking??
From: Joel Markwell <joeldm@mi*.co*>
To: <techdiver@aquanaut.com>
Just so that the whole world doesn't take techies for morons, the correct
form is actually INflexible, not UNflexible.

I feel justified inflicting this unseemly diversion on this list's
respondents inflammatory string of unrestrained verbal barrages because I
feel that this note will not have been any more off-topic than the entire
thread has been.

This insipid conversation has been an uninteresting romp into an inchoate,
testosterone-filled and unrelenting shouting match which has no more to do
with tech diving than does this note.

If you hate the DIR way may I suggest that you state why you disagree with
its tenets. If you are DIR and hate those who unrepentantly ignore it, then
critique the specifics of why a non-DIR rig is untenable. For those of you
who don't know, you make your point more efficiently when sticking TO the
point. I'd rather watch the Teletubbies or Jerry Falwell or sit tied to a
chair while a dozen insurance salesmen explain the vicissitudes of life and
the need for whole life insurance than read this BS.

So kiddies, please try to stay on-topic and off the personal BS, it's really
pathetic. If you have something to offer, then state what you have. If you
have a question, then cinch up your belt and ask it. Sure, you'll get some
inflexible dildo who will slam you for your impertinence, but you'll also
get an answer. Ignore the dildo, read the answer.

The rest of you? Just because you're unstable doesn't mean you have to
inflict that instability on us all.

Insouciantly,

JoeL
