Not true in the slightest. I used to think like you. I used to listen to my instrokter say how DIR didn't make sense. I read "Beyond Hogarthian", a great article on DIR diving, then I emailed Jarrod Jablonski to tell him how the system didn't make any sense and wouldn't work for my diving. He took the time to address every point I raised, but I still wasn't convinced. Finally I openned my eyes and ears to these new ideas that were contrary to everything else I had ever heard, and they started making sense. I _was_ where you are now -- in the dark and missing out on a great system. Now I know better. What I find ridiculously funny is guys like you who don't reccognize what a valuable resource this list is. Anything that I have ever done underwater has also been done deeper, longer, and made to look easier from the guys on this list. I would much rather learn from their mistakes than my own.
