Nothing hurts more than the dull realization that you just spent a grand or
two of your hard earned money on dangerous junk... I feel your pain. It does
not just happen with scuba diving, it happens with any complicated activity
(anybody who owns a boat will vouch for this).

The true test of a man is that when you realize your mistake you quietly
change your equipment and go buy the right stuff.

You will notice that this happens all the time, with posts of bondage wings
and Poseidon showerheads for sale. There is always someone out there who
does not get the word and will purchase the stuff.

The absolute stupidest posts that we get on this list are those who don't do
the research and then feel the need to get on their fucking soapbox and try
to rationalize to the world why their fucked-up gear configurations are just
fine.

And they consistently do this in the face of undeniable logic and sometimes
morbid proof. And these idiots consistently do this without even *trying*
the right way, as they are so stupid, close-minded and completely deluded.

So who is the ignorant one, mechie, mmmmmmmm?

   Jim
