I neglected to mention, and just thought of it, that the inner side of the alveoli have no circulation, so when you damage the membrane and destroy the proteins, you scarr badly, and this is not easily corrected in any reasonalbe amount of time without some extreme and expensive measures and drugs that are very hard to get most docs to prescribe to you , and if they do, they are extremely expensive and not covered by insurance.
