First of all you guys need to lose the mentality that a rgulator must be run at jet engine starting pressures - this is bullshit. Run the IP at 120 and nothing will freeze. Secondly , a G250 is more of a deco reg, and if used as a primary must be detuned at the orrifice at any water temp. Regs need to be able to be taken apart underwater to clear the mushroom valve. This is not possible with a Poseiden. They must be interchangeable on all hoses and bottles - not a chance with a Poseiden. They must be downstream valves, not upstream - a ridiculous problem with the Odin. They must not fill full of water when scootering or in a current - a big problem with a Poseiden due to the shower head with the bullshit holes all around it. They must not stay full of water when you pass them off in an emergency - the Poseiden is s death sentence if not properly purged WHILE passing and breathing until sealed at the lips. Basicly, you have to me a complete idiot or dive shop victim to buy something that reaquires special hoses and fittings, a total moron to buy a reg with an upstream valve and opv built into the hose or reg (unless it is an argon reg, and then you got screwed if you bought a Posieden because the seats are crap), and a card-carrying stroke to buy any reg that requires 180 psi IP to operate like the cheap version of the Poseiden. Ask the Swedish Brothers what they use - they live in Sweden, they dive cold water, and they do not use Poseiden. Gee, I wonder why? Diving above the Artic Cirle, but then I guess that does not count. Ignorance is the enemy of us all, and it is the life blood of the dive industry.
