OK, I agree with that George. > This dumb fuck does not know that little > point, and so is extrapolating that > information to assume it is ok to have a > high ppo2 immersed. IT IS NOT. George, I have never recommended exceeding safe limits to anyone. And even if I did, where has NOAA or anybody differentiated between wet and dry pO2's. You may be right about this, but where is this confirmed? A single exposure of 45 minutes at pO2 1.6, or a 24-hour exposure of 150 minutes, is my understanding of the NOAA guidelines for maximum recommended O2 exposures whether in water, or on land. I do carry EAN40 in a 30cf pony on some dives in 130ffw or less. It is bail-out only, and I never use it. I rarely exceed my MOD of 102ffw when diving this way, and have never recommended exceeding safe limits to anyone. If I were trapped at 130ffw with EAN40 only, chances of CNS oxtox are very slim. Someone twisted my choice into a very unlikely scenario (the old grab the ball, and run with it).
