Bernard, Thanks for posting the Navy info. Frankly that is amazing, and makes me wonder who's making the rules in the U.S. Navy. PRK and Lasik are essentially the same procedure except that Lasik involves cutting a flap of tissue first. The flap permits faster healing and faster visual recovery (and less pain). The amount of tissue lasered is essentially the same in both procedures. There is no logic to their rule that Lasik is disqualifying, but PRK is not. Michael J.
