I didn't have a chance to get wet, but I was down in Monterey
yesterday afternoon.  Although there was some surf, you could
certainly have boat dove within the Bay and shore dove at spots like
Breakwater, Macabee Beach, etc.  I spoke with some divers at
Breakwater who (suprise, suprise) reported ~ 20 ft. vis.  They did
mention that Monestary in Carmel had very poor vis (not suprising with
the outflow of the Carmel River).  Since I wasn't underwater I can't
vouch for this information ...
