Monterey diving is unaffected by the flooding. Bring your equipment and enjoy! I was diving there 2/16 and looked at many of the shore diving sites. Two sites, Monastery and Carmel River Beach, are not good dives now due to muddy river water flowing into the sites. This is usual for a rainy winter. The other shore sites were fine. Chartered boats will also have no trouble finding good diving. The biggest variable in diving Monterey this time of year is the weather. Pacific winter storms can create rough conditions and reduce visibility. You'll just have to take your chances with these. However, baring storms, winter brings better visibility as the plankton blooms die off. Last month we saw 40-60 feet in some offshore locations. Oliver
