I listen to people exchanging different ideas and how to do it right or wrong but i dot hear often someone admitting an error or a mistake. Don't we all learn from our mistakes if we share them don't other people learn from them as well ? So here is what i did wrong this weekend : We have plan a dive at 45 meters and at the end deco at 6m with 100% O2. Everything was carefully planed and within a few minutes we ware in the water. The 30 minute passed quickly and soon i was on 6m ready to switch on my stage tank. As i turn the knob the air was coming out fast from the point were the din plug meets the valve. My Deco tank was failing and thank god i always have a redundancy plan on my wrist to decompress with bottom gas ( i dive nitrox ). What happened ? the little viton O ring located at the tip of my Scupapro 1St stage felt off before attaching it on the tank. I simply did not turn on and then off my stage tank before jumping into the water. This is what kills people, ignoring Details i found out the hard way.
