You take the breath off the outflowing air, then, when you've got a breath, stop the power inflate but keep your finger on the deflate button to let out any extra that got into the wing. It's a cycle, and it takes practice; I can only do it in the pool, really. Have to try more. If you can breathe off it for ten minutes in the pool, try the ocean next time.
