Subject: The DIR way?
I'm fairly new to the DIR way and would like some help. Any help would
be greatly appreciated.

1. What are the differences (pro/con) between the Dive-Rite and the
Halcyon harnesses and wings?

2. What level of buoyancy is considered minimalist when diving singles
and doubles? And what is the easiest way to compute my buoyancy
requirements in varying conditions with different tanks? (I'm a little
confused because in the past I've only relied on the old "more is
better" philosophy [without too much overkill] and never really tried to
figure the actual requirements.) I'll be diving with a dry shell, 40
degree undergarments, single HP120 or steel 80 w/19cf alum pony [for
solo] or double 104's, and I'm not sure what type of light yet. (Feel
free to tell me where I'm wrong here also. ;-])

3. I'm currently diving a Zeagle Tech50D (Apeks) and would like to pick
up my second reg. Should I stay with the same reg under DIR or
can/should I pick up a different reg like the ScubaPro G250/Mk20, which
is what I've been considering?

4. Is the length of hose for the reg that doesn't have the 7' on it
standard or do you make it shorter?

If this seems too novice for the list, I apologize.

Thanks for your help.
