Yes, it is called balancing your rig in the first place. The drysuit is not "redundent" buoyancy, it is built in buoyancy that needs to be offset with steel tanks or weight, not the other way around. I see a real standard set of miconseptions in diving that are the direct result of what comes out of the "training" agencies.
