The Northeast wreck guys constantly explain some of their stroke gear by saying "Well, the boats don't have tenders to come chase us in an emergency", or "Well, the boat ladders are hard to climb". Now the Aussie says "Well, the boats are hard to get in with twins." What I don't understand is this: If there are enough of you in the area, why can't you get together, go talk with the boat captains, explain the problems that you are having with their operations, and point out that the guy who modifies his operation will likely make a whole bunch more money off of you, when you tell the other captains that you are diving with Joe over there, because HE took the time and trouble to listen to your concerns. This is called capitalism in action. The guy who satisfies a market demand, in your case, a boat better set up for diving doubles, reaps the rewards. -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
