I did not test them against these per se. I have been using this or our Hamilton modifications for several years so I am not familiar enough (outside of how they work for teaching purposes) to give you good comparisons. With enough tweaking you can make a lot of schedules look very much alike. The question is largely the amount of tweaking and the consistency of the schedules. As for the gradient method I know that GAP uses them but am not aware of others.
