If you've done your gas planning properly, you shouldn't need to do this. Once you've isolated, you have enough gas to abort irrespective of where the leak is. If your reg stops delivering gas, swap regs. If you've really screwed up and don't know what you're doing, your buddy can look for the leak and shut it down. If you still can't sort it out, your buddy has enough gas to get you out.
