Ditto on the Gilliam point -- his latest tech "effort" in Rodale's is advocating
solo diving.

This on top of the previous issue in which he used his "expertise" to debunk 
diving "myths" like deep air and drinking before you dive among others.

You would have thought Rodale's should have known better.

        I wouldn't worry too much about what these guys are saying. Gilliam
is now making a living by doing travel articles and the "tech" column for 
Rodale's while you are out there practicing what you preach and then are 
gracious enough to share your knowledge with others.
